Rain Rain

So, it rained a lot last week. The first day of rain, before it got muddy and gross, but after it flooded the street and we could no longer leave the neighborhood, Therese took the dog for a swim around the block. One cicada, recently clambered from its shell and stranded atop the tippy top of a fire hydrant barely emerging from the water, was rescued, to the detriment of our crappy ikea umbrella.
